September 2024 Meeting Notes

There was a good attendance at the social with 34 members signing in. It was nice to have Murielle Guillaution drop in to say hello. She is back in Ireland for a few days. Murielle is back living in France and is a long time club member.


All those who were on the club holiday in Carnac, France were welcomed home after a very successful trip. A report on this trip will follow.


NOTICES......

Stephen Whelan explained to those planning on bringing goods for sale to the Leopardstown Show on Sat. 5th. Oct. to arrive 9/9.30am. The club has paid for two tables where members can display their items for sale. This show is worth a visit even if only for the social aspect.


Members were reminded to submit their names to Stephen if planning on going to the Arts / Culture visit to Croke Park on Wed. 16th.Oct.

Suggestions for these events are always welcome.


Conor Gill was taking names for those going to the “ Glendalough Christmas Cracker” on Thur.5 Fri.6th.Dec. in the International Youth Hostel. This is the 3rd. Year to hold this event. It was started by Conor Gill & Gerry Cobbe. It involves preparing a 3 course Christmas meal on the premises. The best produced is the winner. Accommodation is

mostly dormitory rooms (relive your youth!!)

Way West Rally.

115 booked in so far. Awards for the following will be presented on the night. Member of Year, pillion of Year, Special Award, King of the kilometres award and the DMTC photo awards.

AGM. will be held in Shankill on Tues. 26th. Nov. Any member who would like to serve on the committee, please contact Stephen Whelan Secretary.

The donations to the charity box amounted to €71.70.....many thanks.
