The notices at the social had a strange feeling to them.

First there was the announcement of John Dunne’s sister Laura’s death. . A very sad occasion for John and his family, who are all grieving their loss.

On the other hand we had the announcement of the upcoming wedding of Garrett Mahon and Tara Sheridan. A very happy occasion for both of them and their families.

That song from the 60s sung by the Byrds, Turn, turn, turn comes to mind.

1.. New member Noel O’ Kelly was welcomed into the club. A born again biker.

2..Conor Gill gave details of a novel charity event to raise money for the fund. It will be on Sunday 2nd. Nov. in the hall in Manor Kilbride at 3pm. Refreshments will be available. No entry charge but a donation would be greatly appreciated. It is hoped to be a club family occasion for members to get to know each other. Plus, an opportunity for more “Talent” to be discovered among the members, with the availability of an “Open Mike”.

A song, a poem, a joke, a short story or whatever, it's up to you. Now don’t let this put you off……it's not compulsory. More details will be out soon.

3..Members were reminded to get their “Way West” bookings in early and not leave it on the long finger.

4..The September run will be Sunday 21st. It will be a Breakfast run to Woodenbridge golf club.

5..The next A&C event will be the Chocolate making class. Details will be posted soon.

6..Gerry Cobbe returned €31.20, the left overs from the FIM Motocamp Kitty. It will go into the charity fund.

Nessa had the clocks which John Kane made for the charity on display. She is open to offers on these.

The total cash taken on the night amounted to €73.00

We all wished Tara and Garrett many happy years together as a married couple. They are tying the knot on the 6th.september.

Stephen Whelan was first out of the blocks to give Tara a pre “Kiss the Bride”......

Paul Dixon was busy as usual helping members with their GPS queries.

Paddy Maddock brought along Derek Reid, who may be a potential member.

Thanks to John Tannam & Stephen Whelan who kept us all tanked up with tea and coffee, and to those members who set up the tables and chairs before and after the meeting.

The meeting ended earlier than usual.

JIM.
