Club Social Tuesday 20th.June 2025

There was a good turnout last night , despite many regulars away on holidays.

All found their way into the hall using the new code…..0625....06=the month….25=the year. Getting out was different as the key pad was a few metres away from the gate. Parking is now restricted outside the entrance to the Tennis club. There is a car park at the back of the indoor tennis courts which we are free to use.

Stephen was first to arrive to set up the kitchen followed by Paul Dixon who also set himself up for his GPS tuition. A few members went home with more knowledge than they came with.

It was nice to have Oliver Hyndman and his friend Philip call on us while down south. He brought some very upmarket biscuits which didn’t last too long.

John Dunne (Treasurer) was busy keeping club finances up to date……A key function in any organisation. Lots of ways of improving systems discussed.

Some members were getting in early and booking rooms for the Way West Rally 14/16th. November.

Chris Hill and Nessa Waldron briefed members who are manning checkpoints at the Poker Run on Sunday 20th.July. All is good to go with the exception of an experienced “Poker “ player to help out at the finish. If you have the expertise and are willing to help out , contact Nessa or Chris. John Griffin will again be sponsoring the prize money.

The charity box amounted to €31.50……Many thanks.
