A lovely balmy summer evening had a large attendance at the social. Some rode up from Wexford , Eric Morton came over from Galway, Andy Deane was up from Cork, Simon Porter from Kilkenny. It was great to see everyone there, it created a great vibe about the place. One member said it took him longer to come from Sutton to Shankill than it did for those coming from the Wexford area. Either coming through the city or using the M50 at peak time is not a pleasurable experience.
Mark Stephens, a potential new member, was welcomed.
Stephen and John had a busy night with the tea’s and coffee. Thanks to Eric for the tart, it wasn't long on the plate.
At 8pm sharp, Chris and Eric gave a compressive report on their recent trip to the ABR in the UK.
It was felt many club members might have an interest in attending in 2026. If so they advised to book early as it is becoming more popular each year. It is a mid week event held in mid summer. Chris now has all the details up on the ABR group Whats app.
Once again Paul Dixon was giving one to one assistance to those with GPS queries. This is a very useful service to members. Paul even gives “ home work”.
Teddy brought along a 4 province flag to display at the Parade of Nations at the upcoming FIM Motocamp in Lucon, France. It's very appropriate as club members from the 4 provinces will be attending.
