Charity
€9764.91 round up to €10,000 from the club – there were good sales from Leopardstown. Conor to arrange to hand over cheque to charity at the January Social Night – 27/01/2026. John will organise the BIG bank cheque.
Email + WhatsApp to members suggesting Charity for 2026 [something close to your heart etc.] – narrow down to 3 and pick the charity on the night.
Mid-Summer Night
To be held Sunday 21st June - BBQ to be organised – Andrew Kennedy will organise – suggested start of 7pm to 9pm.
AOB:
1) Camping will be left in Ad Hoc WhatsApp Group.
2) Arts & Culture – Jane has stepped down – send email to members for suggestions and volunteer to take
on the role. Events will not be run on a monthly basis – will be reduced to 5 or 6 events yearly.
3) Spring Break suggestion – few places suggested but might be too expense as a lot of events already
planned for 2026.
4) Himalayan Tour being organised by Davide – a guided trip – meeting held last Friday – recommended GP checkup before part-taking due to altitude – insurance cover a concern.
5) WhatsApp discussion – put up Groups for all events - email members notifying them that some trips are being organgised by DMTC members not the DMTC Committee – enter contact details of Organisers and important add Group as early as possible to get updates / detailed information – if coordinator involved this will be added to the WhatsApp Group. Also send WhatsApp on how to archive groups.
6) Clothing – Noel O’Kelly – 63 items of clothing in stock – Noel met with Vendor – minimum order is 6 items with orders ready within a week – do we need to hold stock? He asked how much money we should be making money on clothing – need to add a small profit [round up price on items]– also suggested have a sample of each item on social night – online shop suggested by Noel – he needs access to website to setup a shop – John to arrange - can setup goggle forms for payments of items – zippy will be incorporated by banks next year and hopefully can be used by the club.
7) Noel has experience of web building – discussed using a mobile app – using Goggle forms for all DMTC forms – Noel will look at all communications / information and come back with a plan.
8) Davide needs email password for membership secretary – John Dunne to supply.
9) KING OF KILOMETERS: Need to send email to members in January – Ber to liaise with Paul re. this.
10) Photo Rally – Andy will have list ready at the end of January – Jim still has stickers for the Rally 2025 if they are required.
11) Davide to organise Member and Pillion of the Year on spreadsheet
12) Suggestion of Calendar of the Photo Rally to be produced and sell to members.
13) Discussion re. paying Committee members expenses – pre-run check on route is already in place if people want to avail of it.
14) Signatures for cheques – making payments is problematic as no debit card – need a solution – if debit card is obtained need to set a maximum limit – we are connected to PayPal – zippy will change things next year – problem is only one person can have control – Jim and Stephen are signatures for cheques – we can now also have a fixed term savings account as banks have lower the amount needed – John can ask Nessa & John re. debit card and will report back.
