Last day for suggesting charities 16th January – Chris Hill will present cheque to Charity at January Social – Helen McVeigh from Charity is bringing the “BIG” cheque.

Monthly Spins

Comerford family are looking after the January run – list is up to date until September. Guidelines sent to the committee and approved so Conor will send them via email/WhatsApp to members.

Mystery 500 – 15th to 17th May

Aherlow House Hotel Tipperary has now been booked – total of 25 rooms – no single room or rates – they have lodges available also €500 per lodge - can take up to 6 people – this only includes accommodation with extras of dinner @ €42 and Breakfast @ €12 - Double rooms per couple €410 B&B plus dinner – full payment a week in advance – Alex contact person in the hotel. Dee & Paul plus a few others to visit hotel to sort out details and arrange route etc and arrange booking deposit. Mountain View Room booked for 6.30pm on Saturday evening for dinner. Suggested date for visit Thursday 22nd January.

Way West

2 hotels contacted by Conor the Oakwood Hotel and Great National Hotel in Ballina. Great National Hotel in Ballina booked for the 6th & 7th November €185 pps including the Gala dinner – need to iron out details – Conor will be in touch with hotel in January to flesh out details – Paul will travel with Conor to organise.

Website

New website looking great – WIP - Noel to work with John to get the existing photos linked into the new website and also organising to upload all the clothing available to DMTC Club. Suggestion to setup WhatsApp group to discuss new Website when its available – John & Noel to get together to discuss launching of new Website when completed.

AOB:

• Arts & Culture – no volunteers as yet – Dee volunteered but could only do around 5 or 6 a year - send email to members looking for help with these events – Dee to send suggested events which will be included in the email.

• Andy – Photo Rally nearly completed – will be available by next week for the social.

• Martin O’Brien organising a trip to Normandy - 11th to 20th May.

• No updates on Himalayan trip – discussion regarding WhatsApp group as to whether it should be in the

  DMTC Community.

• Membership – Application Form – Davide discussed updating his details on the pdf form – next step to

  create a from that can be completed online – Noel will look after this.

• Need to streamline the process of new members.

• Paid up members discussion – reminder to be sent to members that have not paid before 31st January

  2026 – 78 have not paid yet. On 31st January Davide will collect names of people not paid and will send them individual reminder emails. Non-paying members will be removed from email / WhatsApp and no access to Members only area on Website.

• Suggestion of Monthly Committee Meetings before each Social – agreed.

• Query about membership auto renewal – lot of problems with auto renewal – reminders are easier to

  manage.

• Passwords of DMTC Committee members need to be changed – needs further discussion.

• Next Meeting 5pm before Social on 27th January 2026.
