Compliments to Gerry and Cushy Kane for this their second time organising the annual Memorial run in honour of all our deceased members.

It was a bit longer than the average monthly run but the route was well planned taking us over a selection of N and R roads.

There was a good turn out despite many regulars being absent. Nice to see quite a few faces we hadn't seen in a while, especially Patriza who was back riding pillion with Davide and looking very well indeed. The weather was perfect, nice warm sunshine.

Cushy led the group to Birr where we had a comfort stop. Gerry took over from here taking us all the way to our destination, Reidy’s of Newtown (Near Nenagh).

Both of the lads set a similar pace which was enjoyable. 3 members went directly and met us there. 30 sat down to lunch. During our meal Sean Coyne informed me that the N 52 is the longest National road in the country. It goes from Ardee to Nenagh. It has some good biking sections on it.

After lunch, which was very tasty, some members went to get DMTC photo point number 4 , Garrykennedy Castle/Harbour. It was difficult to get a good shot as the place was packed with day trippers.

Most made their own way home from here.

It's been a while since we had 3 gleaming Harley’s on a run.

Many thanks Gerry & Cushy, it was a very enjoyable day.

JIM.
