Arts & Culture visit to Croke Park museum. 16th Oct.2024

The members thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Croke park museum. We were greeted at the carpark by the attendant who was helpful in guiding us to the parking area. Our guide, Gerry from Monaghan was a passionate GAA man who spoke from the heart and his likes will keep our heritage and culture alive. {He also rode a BMW GS some time back}.

There was a nice easy going atmosphere about the place. It was smiles all round from those we came in contact with. Beautiful cafe with pleasant staff. Everything about the place exceeded our expectations even those who were not football supporters.

80% of the GAA revenue goes back to the many clubs around the country, and we who ride the roads of Ireland can observe the facilities in every small rural village.

We hope to go back in the Spring to do the SKY WALK.

As we left the friendly attendant wished us well. What was meant to last a little over an hour went way above that.

Jim.
